An excellent place to visit with kids (mine are 8 & 9); evry one had good fun with lots to do; I had a car so could take advantage of driving to our local raes and visiting some of the lakes and brewery centre.
When racing in Yarmouth the Burlington is our very favourite place to stay it is in walking distance of the course it retains its own distinct style, the food is wonderful the swimming pool is a bonus for the grandchildren a fab place to stay and the golf and sea front attractions and always at this time the bowling championships not enough time to do it all.
Went there with daughter and 2 granddaughters - ages 11 and 13. Children liked Pleasure Beach (obviously)and also the sand. Hotel was excellent and couldn't do enough for us. Went to Sea Life but as it was after 4.00 did not have a lot of time before closing. Disappointed that they charge full price. Thought they should have charge less. Good news is that after filling in survey for Sea Life they sent me a letter and 2 complimentary ticks because of our disappointment.
Hi we are the Drage sisters, there's 5 of us, and this year our mum will be 80 so we decided to take her to a lovely sea-front hotel in Great Yarmouth for a 3 day break. The Burlington Palm Court Hotel was wonderful, it ticked all the boxes, seafront, close to ameneties, friendly, clean and best of all a swimming pool!!. Fri eve..ate in hotel, wonderful!!. in Regent Road, milkshake, eve..Dog racing, won a packet!!. Sun..Car boot sale at Yarmouth Stadium..Eve..chinese buffet at Noodle King just off the front, delicious!!!
My husband wanted to revisit Great Yarmouth as he had spent a lot of childhood holidays. there. We will never go there again! It is Blackpool without the class. Ah- the sound of the police sirens on a Saturday night! The hotel wasn't brilliant but there was a very nice view of the sea.The bed was not a full sized double bed! The staff were unhelpful and not very friendly! We were made to feel rushed throughout all the meals we ate there! No sooner had we finished one course, than they were bringing the next one - no lingering over courses in this hotel. The so called wine waiter arrived when we were 3/4 the way through the first course! I think we have outgrown Great Yarmouth - however I don't regret the weekend at all - but I would not stay at that hotel again!
