Once a 16th Century coaching inn, this hotel has been modernised, but has not lost the essence of the charming old country building. Close to the many attractions of central Amersham, the friendly and attentive staff is on hand to ensure that you get the most from your stay here. All of the rooms are fitted with an array of modern amenities and the motorway is close by.
The Crown Hotel was newly refurbished and to me a strange mix of 13th Century Coaching House (beautiful) and neo 1970's minimalism (eccentric). The staff were excellent. Amersham is a fantastic place to stay and there is a multitude to first class restaurants to choose from. The surrounding villages are straight from Midsomer Murders and we explored many of them after Googling Locations Midsomer Murders
A very pleasant town and the hotel was very good despite the alterations taking place there. The Superbreak price seemed more competitive than most.
