The Elizabeth Orwell Felixstowe is located close to the quaint town of Felixstowe and provides an excellent base for exploring the East Suffolk coast area. The hotel has 60 tastefully furnished en suite bedrooms, which have satellite television, direct dial telephone and tea and coffee making facilities. The Westerfield’s Restaurant has an elegant, English country atmosphere and a choice of a la carte and table d’hote menus.
Our first visit to Felixstowe wanted somewhere not too far away from home as only one night away. Hotel very well situated almost in the center of town and parking at hotel excellent. Visited the local shops lots to choose from and all different individual shops available as well as the well known stores. We visited the beach area and walked along the lovely garden area along by the pavilion. There are shows available here, and at the local theatre. A very enjoyable break.
I had booked the break as a belated Birthday Present for my Husband a while ago and we expected to drive there and then visit local attractions. Unfortunately my Husband had a mini stroke about a week before we were going so our Son-in-law drove us there. I had booked a twin room but when we saw the room we saw it was a double so the Receptionist kindly upgraded it to a suite which was very comfortable. We enjoyed a very good dinner on the first night and couldn't fault the food or service and it was particularly nice to have a pianist playing. The second night was equally good too. We could only go for walks as we hadn't got the use of our car but it made a real break for both of us and we will visit the Elizabeth Hotel again.
