I stayed at Hotel Park Inn for 2 nights in February 2008. The location of the Hotel is great; near to river, shops, restaurants and not very far a way from train station. Open buffet type breakfast was excellent. It was very nice to find many things including many types of cheese that is very hard throughout the world's hotel bur very important for a Turkish Guy. Rooms are smaller than the pictures on the web. Many things at the rooms need to be improved. My room was at the backside on the first floor having no view. My friend's room was on 6th floor having river view bigger room and bed with the same price. Totally different rooms! Prooving he was very lucky. I was satisfied with the hotel, will stay there again but not on the first floor :-)
We chose Bedford as a centre to explore the countryside and take in some Autumn colours. The hotel was very central and we had a good view of the town from our 7th. floor window. The Bedford and John Bunyan Museums were a few minutes walk away and good to visit on the day the weather was dull.
Very good weekend in a good hotel with excellent breakfast in a beautiful room with great view
We chose Bedford as a place for a family reunion to celebrate Dad's 80th birthday because we lived here from 1954 to 1961 so it was a chance to visit our old home, schools and workplaces. The hotel overlooks the river and we sat in the bar and dining room, looking at the rowers and swans on this chilly but sunny weekend in February. There was something for everyone right on the doorstep, walks by the river, the market and shops - I stocked up on paperbacks in the Oxfam bookshop.. It was lovely! You wouldn't get such a central location by the river in Cambridge or York for this kind of bargain price. Dad and aall the rest of us ahd a geat weekend.
