Visited Worcester, Hereford, Leominster, Ross on Wye and Bristol. We were very impressed with Bristol, it was our first visit for the day but it wasn't long enough, too much to see. All the areas we visited came up to expectations and we would definitely visit again.

Overall the hotel was very good and would use it again. The price we paid was a major contributing factor. however the one thing that let the hotel down was the mattress on the bed. It must have been old as you could feel all the springs in the mattress, I don't mean by pressing down on the mattress you could feel them you but they were sticking up through the mattress al over it. It was the sort of mattress I would expect from a run down B and B. As we were only stopping the one night I didn't bother complaining had it been longer I would have wanted changed or been given another room.Having said that the rest of the hotel , the room the food, and the staff were very good.

On arrival at the hotel just after 2pm we were told that we could not go to the room until 3pm. Having asked for coffee this was provided but reception staff were very unforthcoming. Customer Care course needed urgently here. The first room we were shown to was cold and on investigation although the radiators were set to high they were quite clearly NOT working! This was reported to managaement who hadn't a clue about heating systems. We were offered an alternative room; this too was cold but this time there was an additional electric heater, which proved to be quite adequate. The location of the hotel is wonderful but I suspect the staff are more than a little reliant on the fact that most guests will either be exploring or playing golf and hence do not pay particular care to making them feel comfortable. A great pity!

Bad hotel to stay for a weekend away. Booked for weddings and so quite loud in the evening. Hotel restaurant had bass thumping through the floor (quite amusing to see couple of old ladies trying to enjoy their meal with 50 cent vibrating around them.) onlu other places to eat in worcester due to flood damage to local pubs.

Despite booking a room on the ground floor for our 92 year old mother (and double checking in advance that it had been booked), we were directed to the 2nd floor on arrival and had to haul her up the stairs (no lift at the Bank House Hotel). Reception staff were less than helpful, but evetually after a phone conversation with Superbreak upgraded her room (still on 2nd floor) as compensation. The description of the hotel should make clear the lack of a lift or even a stair lift for very elderly or infirm guests as even the restaurant was up another flight of stairs. Despite the difficulties of negotiating several flights of stairs several times a day with a very elderly lady, we thought the food was excellent and would like to commend the chef. We also thank the waitresses who were most helpful and attentive. This saved the day for us!
