Hotel amenities above average. Staff excellent. Cotswolds obviously beautiful - scenery. But, rain rain and more rain, shame!

I booked three rooms at the Cheltenham Park Hotel and was very impressed by the standard of the hotel and of the staff. The hotel has beautiful grounds including a lake, though because of bad weather conditions (rain), we were unable to enjoy the beautiful grounds and lovely verrandah off the main lounge. We booked a meal in the hotel's restaurant and had a thoroughly enjoyable meal. As a small party we would definitely rate this hotel 10/10 for its food, hotel amenities and very pleasant staff. We look forward to going back in the near future.

Got a taxi from the hotel in to chelenham town centre to explore the shops. Great selection of bars and coffee bars. We found a really good salsa bar (but i can't remember the name of ir ). Food was great and so where the cocktails. Be careful when getting a taxi back though as it was nearly double the price for the taxi in becuase they are on a rank and are metered. Spent a nice relaxing day in the hotel spa facilities and then retired to the bar for a few pre-dinner drinks. Food and drink is quite expensive in the hotel itself but that is what you expect from a hotel bar anyway. Nice little pub just down the road for the Cheltenham Park Hotel call The Owl, friendly staff, they ahve a TV for sport and a restaurant. There is also a little convenience store about a 5 minute walk from the hotel.. All in all a very enjoyable stay.

We fell across the Ruskin Mill educational trust by accident; searching for a place for tea. The organisation provide training to youngsters with a troubled past, giving them practical real-world skills. The centre includes excellent vegetable gardens, fantastic fish pools, and a range of crafts and arts. The great thing is the public can wander through the complex, enjoying fantastic views in idyllic surroundings, then appreciate some of the artwork and enjoy a break in the coffee house - all free. Snowshill Manor, just north of Cheltenham, is an NT property; again in beautiful grounds with amazing views. The house dates back to the 16th century and was a favourite of Henry VIII's. But whilst the house is lovely, with many original features, the contents are simply amazing. An eclectic collection of collections, drawn together by one man in the first half of the 20th century. You will find a huge variety of early bicycles; clocks; weaving machinery; model houses; Japanese armour; Oriental cabinets - over 20, 000 items from all over the world. A real gem. We'd spent the morning walking in Woodchester Park (also NT). The valley is quite steep and the area large, so go prepared for a decent walk. If parking at the NT carpark, make sure you find and take a map, from the small unmarked box below the information sign. We went on one of the waymarked walks, and turned back just before reaching our intended destination (the victorian boathouse). When we got back... Read full review ]

Hotel room tired and in need of refurbishment. Sheet stained on bed, thoough tended to quickly, damaged tiles in bathroom, tissue box not refilled, shelf loose in bathroom, blinds did not shut fully in bathroom. Staff helpful though. I work for Amex Business tvl, wd not recommend this hotel.
