The hotel building is arguably the nicest building in Cheltenham. Once inside you are not dissapointed however paying 10 a night for car parking & doubling the price of a newspaper somewhat leaves a slightly sour taste in the mouth. Everywhere that we went to was wonderful.
Very cold so did not venture too far. A quick walk around the town and trip to the races. Insufficient staff to serve guests in hotel restaurant which did cast a cloud over the experience.
Thank you so much.
WOW our room was huge, and as requested was in a quiet part of the hotel. Breakfast was a bit caotic, too many people arrived at the same time. Food was excellent though.
My wife and I took a night away in the spa town of Cheltenham to relax (me) and shop (Kari) The Queens proved ideal on both counts. I took up the offer from the hotel to use the spa facilities at Cheltenham College for girls, whilst Kari launched into the local shops.. There is a great selection of boutique stores immediately behind the hotel. When we met back up for afternoon tea there were many bags to prove that Cheltenham offered more than most of the generic shopping centres across the country.. Afternoon Tea was a real treat. Home made scones, clotted cream and jams with lots else besides. What a great tradition! To complete our stay we had a delicious breakfast the following morning in the sun-drenched conservatory restaurant. Nice.
