I took my 2 daughters 11 & 13 for a short London break, Hotel was O/K and centrally located (Paddington) Most places we could walk to, we ate at Planet Holywood, (very noisy)Science museum was excellent, (Simulator was awesome)

The hotel was clean & basic and was okay for a short stay. The bathroom was in need of some decoration as was the bedroom but it was okay. Reception staff helpful & friendly but breakfast staff had difficulty in understanding our requests. The underground was mainly closed due to engineering works and therefore made the trip more difficult and expensive as we used taxis as the weather was wet & cold.

I was in London on business rather than a holiday break, but needed something inexpensive. The hotel is well-located literally round the corner from Paddington. The room was actually a split level *suite* with a sitting room downstairs and a galleried bedroom and bathroom upstairs. Tea and coffee facilities were available in the room. Being a suite the accommodation itself was very generously proportioned, and functional and clean, albeit some of it was a bit tired/faded (most notably the en suite bathroom where the staff had obviously done their best, but frankly it could have done with refurbishing). The room also possessed an idiosyncratic air conditioning/ventilation system: namely a hole cut straight through the glass in the window! The range of channels on the (two) TVs (one upstairs and one downstairs) was a bit limited, but the bed was OK. And the cooked breakfast was excellent - well-cooked and very tasty, and of such generous portions I couldn't finish it all, much as I wanted to! And the staff were helpful and efficient too. Overall I thought this was pretty good for the money and the London location.

Train down was on time and we booked a seat thankfully.. Tube easy to get to hotel. Hotel ok clean, warm and friendly. Rooms basic but you only sleep there. Wicked was fantastic as was the Globe Theatre. The 'Crack' at Tate was - a crack. Tussauds great, new things in this time. Oxford and Regent Street busy but thay are meant to be. Children loved the tube.

The Hotel overall was good, but alot of the staff poor, clearing tables before people were finished, often tables in the Lounge/Bar area were messy
