Pulling up in a taxi showed the hotel in a good light. It looked light, clean and modern. Unfortunately this was not indicative of the whole hotel. The lights did not work in my room, a call to reception got a very quick response. All it required were to actually put light bulbs into the fittings! The single room was very basic, hard bed, lumpy pillows. Honestly? I've stayed in better B&B's Breakfast was 'continental' the fruit salad was chopped apple and two bits of orange segment, cheap cereals and the only good bit was the toast that I made myself. Would I stay again? Only if I had no alternative. Not the worst in the world but a long way from good

The idea was to be with my three daughters for the very first time. eldest was brought up in south africa be her mother.the trip and show was brilliant.

We decided after arriving & using tube to get from Euston to Paddington with suitcase in tow, for the rest of our 3day trip we would walk, which we did & it was brilliant - granted our weather was great, but you see so much more of the city. Would recommend it-providing you have good map reader person with you & good sense direction

Great time in London

There was something for both of us on our london trip - jazz for me (Dover Street Jazz Bar) & a musical for my husband (Wicked). We also had a full day sight-seeing, which made a welcome break from our usual routine. We caught the train from cardiff - the worst part of the trip was finding a car park with credit card pay facility that actually worked!! We stayed a short walk from the station in Paddington. Fairly noisy at night due to traffic - we're more used to cows. owls or silence!. Travel on tubes is easy - a day ticket in central london is good value - St Pauls Cathedral cafe has wonderful chocolate gateau! Visit the Imperial War Museum for Childrens War exhibition - good insight into the social history of the war.
