Obviously teenage boys are hard to please, however they were slightly impressed with The Brighton Pavilion, I really think it is worth a visit, it was my 4th visit. My sons really enjoyed the Greyhound Racing, They liked the shopping center and the Brighton Marina as there was bowling and cinema here. If the weather had been a little better we would have had a go at Pitch and Putt, which is situated between seafront and Marina.
Our overnight stay was to enable us to have a full day with our daughter and to visit her new flat in Hove. We all met on the evening of our arrival and had cocktails in the bar - rather an expensive treat, but great fun. Our daughter took us for lunch at a tiny independant Italian Delicatessen/Cafe in George Street that does wonderful simple Italian food
We stayed at the De Vere Grand hotel at Brighton for 4 nights over Easter 2007. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by the concierge who efficiently parked our car and took our luggage to the room. Our room was at the back of the hotel and was quite dark but otherwise couldnt be faulted. We had a family room with 2 extra beds in it but there was still plenty of space. Breakfast at the hotel was great, everything you could possibly want, including pancakes for the kids. Brighton Pavillion was worth a visit and the Pier of course.A train to London was only 1 hour away too.
Attended concert at The Brighton Centre. Stayed only 1 night and returned early the next day.
Took 8 hours to drive from Bury to Brighton, but it was well worth it. The Hotel was just so welcoming. The satff were so friendly, they parked the car, took our luggage up to our room, the check in was no more than 2 minutes. We just relaxed and put our feet up for an hour before hitting the bar.Let's just say our holiday began when we arrived.
