The Ramada Hotel provides an excellent base for exploring Kent's countryside and historic buildings. It is within easy reach of excellent restaurants in both Pembury and Tonbridge Wells. Bayham Abbey, Hever Castle and Penshurst Place provide a historic backdrop to trips to the nearby hop farm and vineyards to sample local produce.

Overall a pleasant stay in Tunbridge Wells.Location was good, plenty of countryside and the hotel is not on an industrial site. Great fish and chip restaurant about two hundred metres past the main shopping centre [opposite way to Pantells], good portions and friendly staff. Good hotel, just what we wanted, indoor pool and jaccuzi and a short bus to town.

Directions to the hotel were spot on. The Ramada Hotel was of excellent standard, rooms very well presented, restaurant cosy and food well presented, staff very friendly and made you feel welcome. A 10 minute drive into Tunbridge Wells from the hotel and car parking well sign posted. The town has still kept it's charm by embracing the old and the new. A visit to the Opera house, (which has been converted into a Wetherspoons) is a must as it still has the orginal features and a certain charm to it. A visit to the Pantiles can be made by a short bus ride at a cost of 80p per person. Though small, it is worth a look to see the local Spring and Antique shops within the square. I would recommend this for a short break

I took part in the Action Medical Research 100 mile Castle Bike Ride. Starting and finishing at Tonbridge Castle. It was a tough day and i hope to be back next year.
