The Castle and Ball in Marlborough is steeped in history. An inn has been standing on the site in the Wiltshire market town since the 15th century. Some of the hotel's surviving original oak timbers pre-dates the Spanish Armada. Today's hotel has 35 comfortable and individually designed rooms, which come equipped with television, tea and coffee making facilities and free wifi. There is a brasserie restaurant on site offering a seasonal menu of both modern and traditional dishes, and a bar.
