We bought a day rider bus ticket which was excellent value for money and took us here, there and everywhere around Torquay and surrounding areas. We went to Babbacombe and took a trip on the Cliff Railway which was great fun and a recommended ride-just make sure you get the return journey as its a very long uphill walk otherwise and the last one ran at 4.55pm. We only visited a few bars-Yates, Wetherspoons and an Irish bar on the harbour front as we had our 7 week old son with us which does restrict you somewhat but for the very best of reasons!

Very poor the beds were like rock, no air conditioning, no fridge, no sea view. Its supposed to be a 4 star hotel. We cut our holiday short, so disappointed. Too expensive to eat allthe time int he restaurant. £80 for 2 including a bottle of wine.

The hotel was clean but impersonal and the staff were unfriendly. They continually played one CD in the bar area, which I hated and I had to leave. There were no attractions as far as I could see in Torquay other than shops and lines of fast food restaurants. I shall never go there again.
