Now a comfortable family-run hotel, this elegant Georgian manor house enjoys uninterrupted views across York's famous racecourse and still retains many beautiful original features. Once the home of the Rowntree family, the hotel was originally built in 1833. The main building still retains many period features and it is easy to imagine this beautiful building in all of its historic splendour. Now one of the few remaining privately owned and family-run hotels in York, The Knavesmire Manor Hotel takes pride in offering a friendly, personal service to all guests.
