Described as a mini London, Leeds is a buzzing, cosmopolitan centre, surrounded by the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. This Ramada Leeds hotel is close to superb shopping, galleries and theatres. There is a great choice of places to visit, that the whole family will enjoy. The ideal location of the hotel makes for endless days out, one of them being the Royal Armouries Museum. Size yourself up against the armour of the Orient or head to the Bird Garden, to see the world’s prettiest butterflies.
The stay was to visit old friends. We chose the Parkway because we have stayed there before and it has never let us down.
The hotel is in an excellent location for public transport and a Park and Ride is signposted nearby which we took advantage of to get into the city centre. The hotel overlooks the Golden Acre Park and Nature reserve which was ideal for a stroll and the hotel?s leisure facilities are ideal for a short break. The hotel is within easy distance of the main routes to Ilkley and Skipton and offers comfortable, if a little frayed accommodation. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food reasonable if not outstanding.
Skipton had a great atmosphere, market traders selling their wares. busy around the canal towpath, and the castle was imposing.
My wife and I had three days break in Leeds. My wife enjoyed hours of shopping whilst I had a little work to do. Overall a pleasant stay. The Ramada Jarvis is an old hotel which is beginning to look it's age.
